Quality of Life
I believe Americans deserve the highest quality of life on Earth. Not “hang in there and hope for the best.” The actual best.
We’re the richest country in human history. There’s no reason working families should be constantly stressed out, exhausted, and one bad break away from financial disaster.
Quality of life means having time to actually live your life.
Parents should get real maternity and paternity leave so they can spend time with their newborns instead of racing back to work immediately. Families deserve affordable childcare and strong public schools. And when our parents get older, elder care shouldn’t wipe out an entire lifetime of savings.
And here’s another simple one: kids shouldn’t have to learn on an empty stomach. We require them to go to school every day. The least we can do is make sure they get a great meal while they’re there.
Honestly, if our tax dollars can provide three meals a day for people sitting in prison, I think we can provide one outstanding meal a day for the kids sitting in our classrooms.
The goal of government shouldn’t just be to grow the economy on paper. Bottom line, Georgians deserve representatives who will fight for them to have a better quality of life
