Healthcare

It is 2026. Healthcare should be a basic right for American citizens. The fact that we still do not guarantee it is embarrassing.

Right now, our system is built around health insurance companies whose entire purpose is to stand between patients and the care they need. They add paperwork, delay treatment, and take a cut so shareholders can profit from people getting sick. Some things do not need to exist for profit. Healthcare is one of them.

Think about what life would look like if everyone could see a doctor when they needed to. The person serving you food would not be going to work sick because they cannot afford treatment. Families would not ignore health problems until they become emergencies. People struggling with mental health could actually get help before things spiral into violence or crisis.

A healthier population means safer communities, stronger workers, and families who are not living one medical bill away from disaster.

This is not some impossible problem. Other countries solved it a long time ago. What we are missing is the political will to do it here.

My opponent, Jason Anavitarte, has shown no interest in trying to fix this system. I do. Georgia can build a healthcare system that puts people before profits. I intend to fight for it.
