Transportation & Traffic
District 31 is growing, but our transportation thinking is stuck in the past.
More than three out of four workers drive alone, public transit use is basically nonexistent at 0.5%, and the average commute is over 38 minutes.
At the same time, there are far fewer jobs in the district than workers who live here, forcing too many people onto crowded roads every day.
We need a transportation system that matches the reality of our growth. That means better roads, better planning, and actual transit options that help people reach jobs without spending their lives behind the wheel.
